Executive Directors

Alex Scrimgeour, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Scrimgeour joined Everyman from Côte Brasserie, the UK’s largest French restaurant group which he joined as a start-up business in 2008 and was appointed as joint Managing Director in 2011 and CEO in 2015. Alex has extensive experience in the hospitality sector and most recently founded Côte at Home, the new e-commerce platform.

Mr Scrimgeour was appointed as a director on 18th of January 2021.

Adam Kaye, Executive Director
Mr Kaye founded ASK Central plc with his brother Sam in 1993. Adam studied catering at Westminster College, London and subsequently worked at City Centre Restaurants, before opening the first ASK restaurant at Haverstock Hill in 1993. ASK Central plc was sold in 2004.

Mr Kaye was appointed as a director on 8 October 2013.

Will Worsdell, Finance Director
Mr Worsdell was appointed as a director on 28 June 2022, having formerly held senior financial roles at several leisure and hospitality businesses including Head of Commercial Finance at Côte Brasserie. Previously, Mr Worsdell also worked in financial and operational planning at Heathrow for three years. Will qualified as a chartered accountant in 2014.

Non-Executive Directors

Philip Jacobson, Independent Non-Executive Chairman
Mr Jacobson joined BDO (then Stoy Hayward) in 1966, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 and becoming a partner in 1975. During his time at BDO, Mr Jacobson worked with a wide variety of international, listed and unlisted companies. Mr Jacobson was specifically involved in a number of flotations in the leisure sector. Since retiring from practice in 2005, Mr Jacobson has acted as a family office to a small number of wealthy families.

Mr Jacobson was appointed as a director on 8 October 2013. The Directors consider Mr Jacobson to be independent in line with the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for small and mid-size quoted companies.

Charles Dorfman, Non-Executive Director
Mr Dorfman was appointed as a director on 8 October 2013. The Directors do not consider Mr Dorfman to be independent in line with the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for small and mid-size quoted companies due to his shareholding in the Company.

Maggie Todd, Independent Non-Executive Director
Ms. Todd joined Everyman from the Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures European marketing leadership team where she most recently held the role of Vice President of Communications for twelve years.

Ms. Todd has extensive experience in the media industry and until recently was responsible for managing and executing communications strategies for every major Disney launch in the UK and Europe. Maggie is adept at building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships and has a passion for working with creative talent to design immersive experiences that drive consumer engagement. As the Co-executive sponsor of women at Disney, and a key diversity and inclusion mentor, Maggie demonstrated her commitment to supporting and empowering women whilst working at the company. In addition to Disney, Maggie has experience at Twentieth Century Fox, in the music industry and has delivered campaigns for BAFTA, AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences) Awards and world-renowned European film festivals.

Ms. Todd was appointed as a director on 15 July 2021. The Directors consider Ms Todd to be independent in line with the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for small and mid-size quoted companies.

Michael Rosehill, Non-Executive Director
Mr Rosehill qualified as a chartered accountant in Ireland in 1987. Mr Rosehill initially worked at TSB before spending most of the larger part of his career at Lewis Trust Group (owners of the River Island group of companies) in both the finance and private equity divisions. Michael served as a non-executive director of AIM listed Dmatek, an Israeli technology company which was ultimately sold to a private equity house in 2009. Mr Rosehill is a director of Blue Coast Private Equity L.P and therefore also has an indirect interest in the shareholding of Blue Coast Private Equity L.P in the Ordinary Shares of the Company.

Mr Rosehill was appointed as a director on 8 October 2013. The Directors do not consider Mr Rosehill to be independent in line with the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for small and mid-size quoted companies due to his shareholding in the Company.

Ruby McGregor Smith CBE, Independent Non-Executive Director
Baroness McGregor Smith brings with her a wealth of business acumen, acquired over a career spanning more than three decades. One of the few women to have held the position of Chief Executive at a FTSE 250 company, she grew revenues at Mitie more than four-fold to £2.2 billion, establishing it as the largest business in its sector. She is highly decorated as an industry leader, winning the 'Leader of the Year' accolade at the 2011 National Business Awards, and in 2013 being recognised by the Financial Times as one of the top 50 female business leaders in the world. Baroness McGregor-Smith is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Baroness McGregor-Smith was appointed a member of the House of Lords in 2015 and is currently President of the British Chambers of Commerce. As Chair, she is on the boards of AIM-listed firm Mind Gym plc, the Air Operators Association, and the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. She also serves on the boards of the Tideway Tunnel and SNCLavalin as Non-Executive Director. In January of this year, Baroness McGregor-Smith was appointed as President of the CIPD.

Baroness McGregor-Smith was appointed as a non-executive director on 20 September 2022. The Directors consider Baroness McGregor-Smith to be independent in line with the Quoted Companies Alliance Corporate Governance Code for small and mid-size quoted companies.
